Hello Blog readers of the The Collegian at South Dakota State University. After a summer full of Conference name changes, players leaving and buzz about Iowa State along with the Summit League Basketball Tourney we are back and ticking giving the readers what they want, news!

So the Collegian is proud to bring you a contest which should be fun, so get ready to put your thinking caps on and pick your favorite football teams.

First for the rules:

How you win: each week all users will enter scores for both the NFL and the College
Ranks, those scores will be added together at the end of the week. Whoever has the best score at the end of the year will win. The winner will get $20 dollars at the book store.

How the scoring systems works... You will start with 300 points for
college football and NFL games.
For every 3 points you are off on both team's score, you will get
deducted a single point. For example: If you picked SDSU to beat Iowa
State, 27-24 and the real score was SDSU 30, Iowa State-18 then you
would lose three whole points due to being off by 3 points on the SDSU
score and 6 off the Iowa State score.
But, lets say you picked SDSU to win 24-22 and SDSU won 22-21; you
would not be penalized a single point, due to be under 3 points on
both.
The max. you can lose on a single game is 15 points for guessing the score wrong.

Also, you will be deducted 5 points for guessing the wrong winner.

I know it might seem confusing, but give it a shot and it will make
sense in no time.
